Master’s qualifications include Bachelor of Business Monash University Honors Thesis on Persian Rug industry, Brisbane TAFE introduction to color coordination and decoration.
Born in Shiraz, Omid Master moved to Australia at age 2 years. While going to Camberwell Grammar School, Master loved working on weekends for his father’s Persian Carpet Shop on High Street in Armadale. During his Bachelor of Business Marketing degree, at Monash University Caulfield, he did his Honours Thesis on the marketing of Persian Carpets.
In 2001 Master moved to Port Douglas and found there was an opportunity for a unique tourist business offering, a specialised Persian Carpet Gallery offering free delivery worldwide. Through dedication and hard work the business was a success.
Master is continuously updated through the latest decorator journals, buying trips and consultation in the Persian language with the various countries of the Persian Empire. Having consulted with clients from all over the world from his Port Douglas showroom over a period of 16 years and having studied some interior decorating at Brisbane TAFE, Master is expert with colour matching and design coordination.
He has assisted all kinds of experts from interior designers at the Sheraton Mirage to colour consultants from New Zealand and has clients from all over the world including the United States and United Kingdom. A large portion of his clientele were also from Australia including Melbourne suburbs, such as, Brighton.
In 2017 he relocated to Melbourne where he has hit the ground running taking over and renovating the carpet retail showroom located at 1133 High Street Armadale Victoria bringing in his own range and display of fine works of floor art. All the carpets and rugs in the showroom have been carefully selected with all kinds of popular types of homes and settings in mind.
During the years in Melbourne Master has become well acquainted with Melbourne tastes and home decor and has successfully provided interior floor and decorating advice and plans to a huge number of satisfied customers.
In 2019 Master became the president of the High Street Armadale Business Association and is now serving his second year in the role. He worked closely with the retailers and the Stonnington Council before and after the harsh pandemic lockdown period to help see the retail precinct recover and now thrive again.
Master’s dedication to serving the community and customers has seen his hand made rug design and supply business rapidly grow and succeed through even the toughest of times.
